About Me

I have been a psychotherapist for 22 years. As an ex-IBS sufferer I successfully used some of the approaches described in my Package and in 1994 set up the IBS Treatment Centre in the UK.  Since then I have further refined and developed the approach and the 'Your Journey To Health' Package is the result.

My other background is that I have the unique distinction of being the first person to achieve a British degree in hypnotherapy. This, in 1990, attracted much publicity and proved a milestone in the recognition of hypnotherapy as an aid in the treatment of IBS and other medical conditions.

In 1999 I led two groundbreaking courses funded by the UK’s Lotteries Commission to help IBS sufferers nationwide manage and reduce their symptoms. Subsequently I gave a keynote address at London's Royal Academy to the annual conference of the IBS Network - the UK’s national support organisation for IBS sufferers.

A graduate of London University, I am a former policy advisor to the 26,000 member British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have served on the Governing Council of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists. I am a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and a former senior lecturer in counselling at a large UK college.
